Beginners Beading
with Emma Smith

Beads have always been an important aspect of Indigenous culture, they represent our connection to Mother Earth as they are made up of materials that came from her.

Rocks, bones, and shells were often hand carved, an art form in itself, into beads to adorn clothing. This workshop is designed to explore the contemporary use of beading in Indigenous communities and provide a lesson on the basic steps of beading. The pendant shown is a circle that represents the circle of life.

Wednesday, June 28 • 6-9PM
$45 + HST per person
