Lexie Owen Artist Talk/Workshop

Come join Vancouver/Olso-based, multidisciplinary artist Lexie Owen at the Clay and Glass Gallery for Exhange Hour: a participatory public workshop.

Participants In Exchange Hour are asked to bring with them an object they would be willing to exchange under the right circumstances. The object can be anything, but is preferably something the participant made, or expended some labour over. During the workshop participants will meet with each other one-on-one, describing their objects and considering if they would like participate in exchanging objects. Exchanges will be documented as they occur, and the workshop will end with a brief self-reflection and a group discussion about the process and how we make value judgements and look for value equivalencies when making exchanges.

Adult Tour and Studio Workshops

Exhibition tours and studio workshop programs are available for groups of adults. In this two-hour program, the group is given a tour of the current exhibition as well as an opportunity to construct an object in the studio workshop. Objects are fired in the kiln and returned two weeks after the visit.
