In this 3 hour workshop, you will learn the basics of fusing glass onto copper to create your own, vibrant and unique enameled Christmas ornament. You will be introduced to various techniques of enameling, including metal preparation, sifting, stenciling, sgraffito, lumps and over-glazed application. Join us in this joyful moment of creativity and discover the wonderful and endless possibilities of fusing glass onto metal. This is a very rare opportunity to have a unique, hands-on workshop from Gabrielle S. Castonguay, a professional enamel artist, whose work you can see at The Clay & Glass Gallery in Waterloo in her present solo exhibition “Embodied”.
