Canadian Friends of the Paula Murray Project
A special traveling exhibition is coming soon to the Canadian Clay & Glass Gallery, Paula Murray: Resilience.
Murray is a Canadian ceramic artist based in Chelsea, Quebec, where she remains closely connected to the water and her work in porcelain. The Canadian Clay & Glass Gallery has partnered with the Alfred Ceramic Art Museum in New York State, where the show will launch in September 2026. Curated by the Alfred’s director, Benjamin Evans, the exhibition will travel to Canada and open here at the Gallery in Waterloo in January 2027. Our Canadian contribution to this special project involves transporting the exhibition north of the border and steering the publication to honour Murray’s truly compelling body of work as a ceramic artist.
We want to raise the bar for publications here at the Canadian Clay & Glass Gallery and we’re confident that this special project will set the tone for improved dissemination of research and promotion of Canadian clay art that is our focus now, and into the future.
