The Canadian Clay & Glass Gallery is a unique centre of art and craft in Canada; we are the only gallery that exclusively exhibits Canadian ceramics, glass, and enamelling. I am proud of the CCGG’s international influence, positioning our artists and their work on the world stage. And here at home, our programs continue to reach new and diverse audiences with exhibitions, classes, and programs that explore creativity, new materials, and the bonds that connect us. Supporters like you play a significant role in making this happen.

I invite you to play an even bigger role in 2023. Your support introduces Canadian artists and makers not only to our local community but increases their works’ exposure from provincial to national and far beyond. I am so pleased to tell you that our small but powerful Gallery has already attracted the art world’s attention in Scotland, Switzerland, the United States, and other international art centres.

2023 brings a diverse series of material-focused exhibitions. We look forward to presenting exhibitions that celebrate the skill and beauty of ceramics, glass, and enamelling while also disrupting our perceptions of these mediums through artists’ material and conceptual explorations. The arts have a unique power to transform our thinking and open our world to ideas beyond our personal experiences. With your support, we can make this happen at CCGG’s one-of-a-kind facility where admission is always free, and all are welcome.

Always changing to be better. We always strive to continue to connect with our community in as many ways as possible. We have a new roster of creative activities and are continuing our recently launched Community Perspective Exhibition series. This year kids of all ages are already enjoying our all-new school groups programming. And we are excited to start fundraising for our brand-new Ann Roberts Curatorial Fund, which will support an emerging guest curator with the opportunity to curate an exhibition at the gallery.

Let’s celebrate the creativity of Canadian artists and craftspeople who inspire us to take part in conversations around art, craft, and culture.

How can you participate? I have included six unique patronage opportunities; you can contribute any amount to any project, because every bit counts and is appreciated. Your support extends far beyond our region as we invite artists, guests, and visitors to come to our Gallery.

Thank you for your ongoing support,

Denis Longchamps
Executive Director & Chief Curator

P.S. Your support is critical. Our goal is for everyone, regardless of economic status, to be able to explore the beauty and power of experiencing and creating art and craft.
