Gather at the Gallery: Jewelry Making (55+)
Gather at the Gallery is a monthly event presented specifically for the 55+ community. There will be opportunities to express your own creativity through a variety of hands on workshops, meet artists and hear their stories, or preview new exhibitions.
Please note that there is a limit of two tickets per person. This measure is in place to promote a more equitable ticket purchasing expereince for everyone.
During this workshop you will make your own jewelry using glass beads. Make a bracelet, earrings, necklace, or brooch.
You will have a variety of coloured glass beads in various sizes, as well as some specialized beads.
Millefiori is a flameworked glass technique used to create a flower or star pattern in a cane of glass. These canes are then turned into beautiful floral beads.
Please note that the findings and fixtures used may contain nickel. We cannot guarantee that all components will be suitable for those with metal sensetivities.
